6. Snap off the electrical connector and remove the instrument panel.
Dismantling the dashboard Ford Focus 2
1. We snap off the latches indicated in the photo in red.
2. We get 2 separate elements.
3. Turn all the arrows counterclockwise until they stop, and mark their location with a pencil.
4. Carefully remove the silver caps from the arrows and the arrows themselves.
Notes:
To prevent the arrow from breaking, hold it at the base and gently pull it up, prying it on the other side with a wide knife.
5. Remove the film with scales.
6. Unfasten the back cover and take out the board. First you need to bend the latches.
Note:
It is recommended to clean the on-board computer board at the same time, as over time it becomes covered with dust and dims.
7. The assembly of the Ford Focus 2 instrument panel occurs in the reverse order.
Note:
To assemble the arrows, we first put caps on them, and then we put the arrows in place in the assembly. But do not press hard on the arrows - they can sink and subsequently cling to the scale. When properly installed, when turning the arrows counterclockwise, they should rest against the previously set marks.
