Note:
This article describes how to remove the battery on the Hyundai ix35.
The battery is located under the hood on the right side of the engine compartment, right next to the fuse box.
Location of the battery.
1. Using the “10” wrench, loosen the nut, and remove the wire terminal from the “negative” battery terminal.
2. Pry off the protective cap of the "positive" terminal, and fold the cap back.
3. Using the “12” wrench, loosen the nut, and remove the wire terminal from the “positive” battery terminal.
4. Remove the battery heat shield.
5. Using a 12 wrench with an extension, unscrew the bolt of the battery pressure plate, and remove the pressure plate with the bolt (the bolt is located in front of the battery, near the air filter housing).
6. Remove the battery by the handle.
Battery for Hyundai ix35.
7. Install the battery on the Hyundai ix35 in reverse order.
