The car is equipped with a rack and pinion steering mechanism and a safety, height-adjustable steering column. Some cars are equipped with hydraulic power steering.
Warning:
It is forbidden to carry out welding and straightening work on steering parts.

Steering wheel marks
1 - mark on the end of the steering column shaft;
2 - mark on the steering wheel hub;

Warning:
For any work related to module 5 (see Fig. Details of the steering wheel), airbags, be sure to disconnect the wire from the "-" terminal of the battery. After disconnecting the battery, you can start working after at least 1 minute.
Discharge static electricity by touching a grounded object before touching the airbag module.
Place the removed module in such a way that the cushion is directed upwards. Keep the airbag module free of grease and detergents. The module must not be heated, even for a short time, above 100°C.
Modules that have been dropped on a hard surface, or that show any signs of damage, must be replaced.
Checking and replacing the airbag module should only be carried out at a service station using special tools and instruments, otherwise it may be triggered.
The service life of the pyrotechnic charge in the pillow is 15 years. After this period, the airbag module must be replaced.
Order of execution
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "-" of the storage battery.
2. To gain access to the airbag module locks, turn the steering wheel so that the spokes are vertical, then fully extend the steering column towards you, lower it all the way down and lock it in this position. Steering column adjustment is described here .
3. Through the hole "A" (see. Fig. Removing the airbag module) from the rear side of the steering wheel, using a screwdriver 4, press out the brackets 3 (holding the latch 2) by turning the screwdriver in the direction indicated by the arrow.
4. Turn the steering wheel 180° and release the second lock in the same way.
5. Carefully remove module 5 from the steering wheel (see Fig. Details of the steering wheel) of the airbag and, turning the steering wheel 1 to the position corresponding to the rectilinear movement of the car, disconnect block 7 with wires from the module.
6. Make sure the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position.
7. Turn away a bolt 2 fastenings of a steering wheel with internal splines.
8. If marks 1 and 2 are hard to see (see Fig. Marks for installing the steering wheel) on the end of the steering column shaft and the steering wheel hub, mark the relative position of the shaft and the steering wheel.
9. Remove the steering wheel using a special tool or a universal puller, disconnecting block 3 with wires (see. Fig. Details of the steering wheel).
10. Establish a steering wheel upside-down according to labels 1 and 2 (fig. Labels for installation of a steering wheel see). Zakernut bolt 3 of fastening of a steering wheel. After using the steering wheel mounting bolt five times, it must be replaced with a new one.
