Note:
The air filter that enters the car interior through the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system (cabin filter) must be changed every 15 thousand kilometers, or once a year.
The filter is installed in the heater housing behind the instrument panel storage box.
You need to select a filter by VIN. There are two types of filters and they are not interchangeable.
- Cabin filter: 97133-2E250 = 97133-2E260, dimensions: L/W/H=239/190/20 mm, you can safely take TSN 9.7.565 or TSN 9.7.566 (coal)
- Cabin filter: 97133-2E200 = 97133-2E210, dimensions: L/W/H=225/200/18 mm, you can safely take TSN 9.7.35 or TSN 9.7.115 (coal)
1. Open the glove compartment.
2. Turn the left and right glove compartment opening stop counterclockwise, and pull out the stoppers.
Barrel restrictors.
WARNING:
Do not confuse the limiters, each limiter only in its own direction.
3. Squeeze and snap open the glove compartment opening lift.
4. Lower the glove box down. Squeeze the filter cover latches (shown by arrows) and remove the cover by pulling its tongue out of the latch (shown by a red oval).
Filter cover clips (they need to be squeezed).
5. Pull out the cabin filter (if necessary, pry it with keys or a flat screwdriver).

6. Install the cabin filter on the Hyundai ix35 in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
When installing the filter, the arrow should point down.
