Removing the tailgate trim Nissan X-Trail

Note:

The trim of the Nissan X-Trail tailgate  is removed when replacing the door lock or its actuator, the rear wiper gearmotor, or when removing the additional brake light.

Removing the tailgate trim Nissan X-Trail

1. Place the car on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.

2. Raise the luggage compartment lid.

3. Turn the door light switch to the OFF position.

4. Pry off the cover with a flat screwdriver and remove it from the Nissan X-Trail door trim.

5. Disconnect block and remove a plafond of lighting.

6. Pry with a flathead screwdriver and pull out the 2 holders.

7. Pry with a flat screwdriver, remove from the holders and pull the inner handle out of the Nissan X-Trail tailgate trim.

8. Pull towards you, remove from the latches and remove the upper trim element. 

9. In the same way, remove the side trim from both sides.

10. Using a flat screwdriver or a plastic spatula, pry off the lower part of the door trim around the entire perimeter, until all its holders (12 pcs.) exit the door panel.

11. Remove the Nissan X-Trail tailgate trim assembly.

12. If necessary, remove the sides of the skin (disengage them from the lock).

13. Install the Nissan X-Trail tailgate trim in the reverse order of removal. Press it against the door until the holders are fixed in the holes.
