1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.
2. Remove facing of a radiator, as it is described here (item 9).
3. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the basis of the lock of a cowl to an arm.
Note:
The location of the bolts for attaching the base of the hood lock to the bracket.
4. Move the lock away from the bracket.
5. Expand the lock and pry off the tip of the drive cable sheath with a screwdriver.
6. Take a tip of a cover of a cable of a drive of the lock of a cowl from a basic arm of the lock.
7. Remove the end of the cable from the slot in the lock lever, then remove the lock.
8. Install the hood latch in the reverse order of removal. Before installing the lock, lubricate its locking mechanism with grease (for example, lithol).
9. If, after installation, the lock does not lock clearly or is difficult to unlock, adjust its position. Loosen the bolts of the lock and moving it vertically within the oval holes in the base of the lock, achieve a clear operation of the lock.
