Removing the reverse light switch Renault Logan 2004-2009 Petrol

We carry out work when checking and replacing the reverse light switch.
Remove the left mudguard of the engine compartment (see "Removing the mudguards of the engine compartment"). We clean the reverse light switch and the part of the gearbox housing around the switch from dirt. 

Having pressed the clamp of the wire block ... 
... we disconnect the block from the reverse light switch.
Turning on the ignition, with a piece of wire we close the contacts of the switch wire block. If the reversing light does not come on, check the electrical circuit of the switch. Otherwise, the switch must be replaced with a new one. Before turning the switch, drain the oil from the gearbox (see "Checking the level and topping up the oil in the gearbox").

Using the “24” key, turn out the reverse light switch. 

Reversing light switch 
We connect the tester probes to the switch terminals and in the ohmmeter mode we check the switch. For a working switch with a free state of its stem, the tester should fix “infinity” ...

... and with a “recessed” stem (switch contacts are closed) - the presence of a circuit. 
Before installing the switch, degrease the threaded part of the switch and the threaded hole in the gearbox housing with acetone. We apply a thin layer of sealant to the threads of the switch and screw the switch into the hole in the gearbox housing. Tighten the reverse light switch to the specified torque. Pour oil into the gearbox.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
