Replacing the battery in the key Honda Civic 2005 - 2011

Note:

The car comes with 2 keys, each of which can be used to unlock the door locks and the cover of the glove box, turn on the ignition and operate the 
immobilizer.

There is a tag on the key of the Honda Civic car. The key series number is printed on the tag. Keep the tag: in order not to change locks in case of lost 
keys, you can order new keys by their number from the manufacturer. 

Only Honda approved key blanks may be used to make additional key copies  .

Honda Civic key battery replacement procedure

1. Use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the screw on the back of the key.

2. Insert a screwdriver blade into the slot on the side of the key body.

3. Overcoming the resistance of the retainer, separate the body of the Honda Civic key.

4.  Pry up with a screwdriver and detach the battery holder.

5. Pry with a flat screwdriver and remove the Honda Civic key battery from the holder.

6. Replace the Honda Civic key battery with a working one.

7. Observe the polarity and replace the battery.

8. Snap the rear cover of the Honda Civic key and screw in the bolt.
