Note:
It is advisable to carry out the adjustment with an assistant.
Adjustment of light of additional headlights (roof rails) Nissan X-Trail
1. Park the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface perpendicular to the selected vertical surface. It must be fully fueled and stocked. The distance from the surface to the center of the headlamp should be 10 m.
Note:
Observing the same conditions, you can install a 2 × 2 m sheet of plywood in front of the car.
2. Check and, if necessary, adjust the air pressure in the tires.
3. If necessary, wash the headlights and dry them.
4. Ask the assistant to sit in the driver's seat. If this is not possible, put a weight of about 75 kg in place . Rock the car until the suspension self-aligns.
5. Mark the screen on the wall as shown in the figure. Take the necessary measurements with a tape measure.
6. To gain access to the adjusting screws for additional Nissan X-Trail headlights, remove the decorative trims (pry up and pull up).
7. Turn on additional lights and cover the right one with a sheet of paper.
8. To adjust the additional light of the Nissan X-Trail headlights, on the headlight housing itself there are 2 screws: the upper one adjusts in height, the lower one - to the left or to the right.
9. Take an 8 mm socket or Phillips screwdriver. Rotating screws, adjust the headlamp up until the center of the beam will be at the intersection of lines A and D .
Note:
Turning the lower adjusting screw, keep in mind that it moves the beam not strictly in the horizontal plane, but outward-upward or inward-downward.
10. Open the right headlight and cover the left headlamp with a piece of cardboard. In this way, check and adjust the position of the left additional headlight Nissan X-Trail.
Note:
If the upper limit of the luminous flux is indistinct or blurred, this may indicate a malfunction of the lamp or damage to the headlamp reflector. If it is not possible to adjust the beam of headlights of the Nissan X-Trail, check the installation of the lamp and headlight.
