Lubricant XADO VERYLUBE for sunroof on Hyundai ix35

Note:

This article describes how to lubricate the hatch on the Hyundai ix35.

On Hyundai ix35 cars, there is a problem with hatches due to the design of the roof, or rather, its front half, which, in addition to the roof, also performs the function of a hatch. The fact is that the rear guides are open to all winds and precipitation. Over time, they become clogged with dust and sand, and the grease is washed out. As a result, there is an increased load on the electric motor and on the entire sunroof system. The problem manifests itself in the fact that the sunroof is difficult to close or open and makes a clicking sound.

1. Press the button and open the sunroof.

2. Clean dirt from sunroof rails (compressed air is best).

3. Apply spray lubricant to the sunroof rails all around.

Note:

This lubricant is special in that it is applied as a spray, but after 10 seconds it turns into a beige, Vaseline-like consistency (as pictured above).

After lubrication, the sunroof will run like new.

Useful advice:

No need to lubricate with WD-40 and other lubricants ending with lithol. All of them will perform a function for some short time. But later they can even make it worse, because the same WD-40 will simply wash even the remnants of its native lubricant, and then dry safely. And lithol will pick up moisture and dirt, it will not improve slip, but stick with a dirty substance. The most suitable lubricant for lubricating the manhole slides is a waterproof PTFE grease.
