Tools:
- Ratchet wrench
- Extension (for F16D3 engines)
- Head 10 mm
- Open end wrench 10 mm
- Straight ring wrench 22 mm
- torque wrench
Parts and consumables:
- Diagnostic oxygen sensor (96418970 - for the F16D3 engine or 96453246 - for the A15SMS engine)
Note:
Remove the diagnostic oxygen concentration sensor for replacement, and also when replacing the intermediate pipe (on a vehicle with an F16D3 engine) or an additional muffler (on a vehicle with an A15SMS engine) of the exhaust system. Perform work on a viewing ditch or overpass.
Replacing the diagnostic oxygen concentration sensor of the F16D3 engine
1. To remove the sensor on a car with an F16D3 engine, unscrew the two nuts of the front and one bolt of the rear fastening of the right engine compartment mudguard, as described here , and move the shield down.
2. Remove a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
3. While pressing the engine management system harness connector retainer, disconnect the harness connector from the diagnostic oxygen sensor connector.
4. Pass the sensor wiring block through the ring of the 22 mm ring spanner and put the ring of the key on the hex of the sensor.
5. Turning the key counterclockwise, unscrew the diagnostic oxygen concentration sensor from the threaded hole in the intermediate pipe.
6. Install the sensor in reverse order and tighten to the specified torque .
A15SMS Engine Diagnostic Oxygen Sensor Replacement
1. On a car with an A15SMS engine, to dismantle the diagnostic oxygen concentration sensor with a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the nut 1 that fastens the heat shield 2 to the body above the additional catalytic converter 3.
Elements of the exhaust system:
1 – a nut of fastening of the heat-shielding screen of an additional catalytic converter;
2 - heat shield additional catalytic converter;
3 - additional catalytic converter;
4 – diagnostic oxygen concentration sensor.
2. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
3. Pulling the edge of the heat shield down, disconnect the blocks of the engine management system wiring harness and sensor wires.
4. Using a 22 mm spanner, unscrew the sensor from the threaded hole in the pipe of the additional muffler.
5. Install the diagnostic oxygen sensor in reverse order and tighten to the specified torque .
