Note:
This article describes how to replace the rear suspension arms on the Hyundai ix35.
1. Engage 1st gear (transfer the automatic transmission selector to the “P” position) and install the chocks “boots” under the front wheels.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts, jack up the rear of the vehicle, securely support the vehicle and remove the wheel.
WARNING:
Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.
3. Unscrew the lower mount of the anti-roll bar strut with the key to "17", keeping your finger from turning with the key to "17" and move the rack to the side.
4. Turn off a forward bolt of the cross-section lever of a back suspension bracket, the lower bolt of fastening of a rear shock-absorber and a back bolt of fastening of the rear suspension arm (at a body).
5. Use spring ties to compress the spring.

6. Jack up the lever, carefully knock out the bolts with a hammer, remove the spring and the rear suspension arm.

7. Install the rear suspension arm on the bolt that secures the arm to the body (rear bolt) and tighten it by hand.
8. Insert the spring into the hole on the body and on the lever. Jack up the lever with a spring, and tighten all the bolts.
9. Next, install the rear suspension arm in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
After installation, make a camber/toe adjustment at a special station.
