1. Install the car on a viewing hole, overpass or lift. Remove the engine crankcase protection (read the article " Removing the engine crankcase protection Peugeot 207 ").

2. For the convenience of removing the oil pan, it is recommended to disconnect the exhaust pipe from the catalyst by loosening and removing the clamp connecting them and the guides from the rubber brackets. If there is play or other defects on the yoke clamp and oil pan fasteners, treat the contaminated fastener areas with WD-40 type spray lubricant. This will make it easier to pull them out.

3. Loosen the nut, the bolt that secures the exhaust pipe clamp to the catalyst.

4. Unscrew the clamp bolt.

5. Unclench a clamping collar and remove it from an exhaust pipe.

Note:

If the clamping collar is damaged, replace it with a new one.

6. The central part of the pipe is attached to the rubber brackets. Remove the exhaust pipe guides from the muffler rubber brackets. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the catalyst.

7. Before unscrewing the bolts securing the oil pan, it is necessary to drain the oil from the Peugeot 207 engine (read the article “ Changing the oil in the Peugeot 207 engine ”).

8.  Turn out 17 bolts of fastening of the pallet crankcase of the engine.

Useful advice:

Behind the catalyst pipe is the hardest to reach oil pan bolt, use a bent wrench to remove it.

9. Remove the engine oil pan.

10. Clean the oil pan from accumulated dirt and old sealant.

11. Clean the oil pan seats on the cylinder block from the old sealant.

12. Apply sealant to the seating surface of the oil pan. Install the Peugeot 207 sump on the cylinder block and tighten the bolts evenly and crosswise.

Useful advice:

Do not degrease the seating surfaces of the block and crankcase before applying the sealant, just carefully remove the oil from them. In the future, this will ensure the possibility of easy disassembly of the connection.

Note:

Unusable oil pan, replace with a new one.

13. Install the previously removed parts in the reverse order of removal and fill the engine with oil (read the article “ Checking the level and adding oil to the Peugeot 207 engine ”).
