Setting the cruise control buttons

I have long wanted to add cruise control buttons, and at the same time multimedia control buttons. Bought everything and installed it. And so in order, there are: cruise control buttons, multimedia, OK button (right), airbag and steering wheel wiring, we will remake the steering wheel from RP32 (OK-M) into a full steering wheel (OK-OK).

Using a mirror and a screwdriver, remove the pillow.

Disconnect all wires.

Remove the steering wheel with a 24 key.

The simplest thing is to change the M button to OK and the pillow wiring, the buttons have the same fastening, change the button, change the wire, the pillow is ready.

It’s more difficult with the steering wheel, the main thing here is not to rush and constantly try on, it’s easy to cut, so you can grab too much. It took about 4 hours to make a seat for the KK buttons, less for the multimedia control buttons.

When the holes were ready, we cut the thread with a tap on M4-0.7.

Since there was no wiring in the steering wheel, we will make a place for it ...

... and put the wire in it.

Install the KK and MM buttons.

To check that nothing is in the way, we put on a pillow. This is what the steering wheel looks like.

Collected, checked - everything is fine, now we put it in the car. 

It remains to register all this in the car configuration and you can use it. We take ELS27 or ELM327 and the FoCCCus program. To activate the cruise, you need to change two bytes # 23 and # 224

To activate the right OK button, change byte # 187

Now everything is ready, check - it works.
