Replacing the battery in the electronic key Nissan X-Trail
1. Turn the key fob to the back side. Slide the switch.
2. Pull the Nissan X-Trail key out of the key fob.
3. Find a small notch at the bottom of the key fob.
4. Pry it off with a flathead screwdriver.
Note:
Do not insert the screwdriver blade too far, it may damage internal parts, so be careful.
5. Carefully pry off the two halves of the Nissan X-Trail key fob.
6. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry and remove the non-working battery.
7. Replace the Nissan X-Trail key battery with a new one.
8. Insert the battery into place, observing the polarity (negative side "-" up).
9. Reassemble the Nissan X-Trail key fob in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the two halves fit snugly together along the entire length of the keyring.
10. Check the operation of the electronic key.
