Note:
In the event of a malfunction of the DMRV on the Nissan X-Trail, the electronic control unit switches the system to standby mode. You can determine the malfunction of the sensor itself when diagnosing a malfunction of the engine management system by reading the fault codes from the electronic unit.
Nissan X-Trail Mass Air Flow Sensor Replacement
1. Raise the hood cover and fix it with the stop. The mass air flow sensor is installed on the outlet pipe of the air filter housing.
2. Use a 10mm wrench to disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Press the latch and disconnect the block of wires from the sensor.
4. With a 7 mm head, unscrew the 2 bolts securing the DMRV Nissan X-Trail.
5. Remove the sensor.
6. Examine a socket of the gauge on absence of damages and oxides on its outputs.
7. If the sensor is heavily soiled, treat the terminals with a special agent for cleaning and protecting electrical contacts.
8. If necessary, replace the Nissan X-Trail MAF sensor with a new one.
9. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
