Replacing the Opel Astra H cleaning filter for air entering the passenger compartment

You will need: 5.5 socket head, TORXT20 key.

Note:

Opel Astra cars equipped with air conditioning are equipped with simple dust filters, and cars without air conditioning are equipped with carbon-filled filters. When replacing, the new filter must match the brand of the one being replaced.

The filter for cleaning the air entering the passenger compartment is located under the instrument panel on the right side behind the glove box and serves to clean the air from soot, dust, pollen and plant spores.

Replacing the cabin filter Opel Astra H

1. Open the glove box in the instrument panel and remove the removable shelf from it.

2. Turn out four bolts of fastening of a box to the panel of devices.

3. Remove the ceiling light from the socket in the glove box wall.

4. Disconnect from a plafond block of a plait of wires and remove it.

5. Take a ware box from an aperture of the panel of devices.

6. Through the opening in the instrument panel, which opened after removing the glove box, unscrew the three bolts securing the Opel Astra cabin filter cover. 

7. Remove the cover, overcoming the elastic resistance of its latches at the top and bottom.

Note:

This is how the latches for fastening the cover of the filter for cleaning the air entering the passenger compartment are located.

8. Remove the filter from the socket in the heater housing, deforming it a little and moving it down.
