  • Sealing washer for engine oil pan plug (PSA 0313.40)
  • Engine oil filter (PSA 1109 AY)

Notes:

Frequent replacement of the Peugeot 207 oil filter and engine oil is the most important preventive procedure that you can do yourself. Engine oil becomes thinner and dirtier as it ages, leading to premature engine wear.

Useful advice:

Before starting work, warm up the Peugeot 207 engine and let it cool down for 15-20 minutes.

1. Install the car on a viewing hole, lift or overpass. Remove the crankcase guard to gain access to the engine oil pan plug. How to remove the crankcase protection of the Peugeot 207 engine is described in this article.

Be careful! If the vehicle has recently been turned off, do not touch the exhaust system or other hot engine parts while working under the vehicle.

2. Loosen the engine oil drain plug with a 14mm socket.

3. Place a suitable container under the drain plug and remove the plug.

Note:

After turning the plug all the way out, keep it pressed against the sump, and then sharply move it to the side so that the flow of oil from the sump goes into the container, and not into your sleeve.

Useful advice:

It is recommended to wear gloves to avoid scalding, skin irritation and protection from exposure to various harmful impurities contained in used engine oil.

4.  Drain the old Peugeot 207 engine oil. Use a rag to clean the area around the drain hole, clean and replace the drain plug. Install the crankcase protection in reverse order.
