Warning:
Brake discs must be replaced on both sides of the front suspension at the same time.
Front brake type FS III:
1 - external brake shoe;
2 - internal brake shoe;
3 - support;
4 - guide pin;
5 - protective cap;
6 - elastic rod;
7 - a brake hose tip with a hollow bolt and a sealing ring;
8 - rotary fist;
9, 12 - bolts;
10 - wheel speed sensor;
11 - brake shield;
13 - hub;
14 - brake disc;
15 - screw.
Order of execution:
1 . Remove the caliper from the steering knuckle without disconnecting the brake hose from it, as described here .
2 . Suspend the caliper on a wire from the suspension spring, making sure that the brake hose is not under tension, twisted or strongly bent.
3 . Remove screw 15 (see Fig. Front brake mechanism type FS III ) fastening the brake disc.
4 . Moisten with fluid like WD 40 the junctions of the brake disc 14 with the hub 13. Wait a little for the rust to dissolve and remove the dirt and rust.
5 . Remove the brake disc 14 from the hub. If difficult to remove, tap the disc with a rubber or polymer mallet.
6 . Thoroughly clean hub 13.
7 . Install a new disk 14 and screw in the screw 15 of its fastening.
8 . Press the piston in using the special tool or, if not available, with a wooden hammer handle. At the same time, press the piston evenly at different points around the entire circumference, making sure that the piston does not warp.
9 . Install caliper 3 on steering knuckle 8 in reverse order.
10 . Install the wheel. Final tighten the wheel bolts only with the vehicle on the ground.
11 . Press the brake pedal several times to bring the pistons into position.
12 . Check and, if necessary, add brake fluid to the required level in the reservoir.
