This article describes how to remove the air filter housing on a Mercedes. If you need a simple replacement of the Mercedes Vito air filter, then you can refer to this article .

The air filter housing is located in the center of the engine compartment.

1. Open the hood as described in this article .

2.  Loosen the clamp that secures the air supply hose to the branch pipe of the air filter housing.

3. Disconnect the air supply hose from the air filter housing.

4. Remove the air filter housing inlet duct from the mount.

5.  Pull up and move aside the engine oil filler neck.

6. Pull up the lower mountings of the air filter housing and remove it from the latches.

7. Pull the air filter housing towards you and remove it from the upper mount.

8. Disconnect the block of wires from the air sensor and remove the air filter housing.
