Note:
This article describes how to remove the radio on the Hyundai ix35.
1. Remove the top visor above the radio. Pry off the latches (it’s better to pry with a plastic knife so as not to scratch the plastic) and pull towards you and up about 45 °.
Removed top radio visor
Note:
Due to the nature of the fasteners, pulling simply towards you or simply up will not work.
2. Pry off the button block under the Hyundai ix35 radio (it is better to pry with a plastic knife so as not to scratch the plastic) on which the emergency stop button is located, and disconnect the three wire blocks from the button block.
3. Unscrew the four radio mounts (two on top, two on the bottom).
WARNING:
Unscrew with a long magnetic screwdriver. If the screws fall down, then there is almost no chance to get them without completely disassembling the front panel.
4. Pull out the Hyundai ix35 radio. Disconnect from it 2 blocks of wires, an antenna, and remove the radio.
