Removal and installation of a starter of the car Skoda Fabia 2002 - 2007

Tools:

• L-shaped socket wrench 10 mm
• L-shaped socket wrench 13 mm
• L-shaped socket wrench 19 mm
• Large flat screwdriver
• screw jack

Parts and consumables:

• Starter (if replacement is needed)

1. Remove the engine top cover as described here .

2. Remove the battery as described here .

3. Remove the shelf containing the battery.

4.  Disconnect connector 1 and cable 2 from solenoid 3 on the starter.

For vehicles with gearbox type 002.

Disconnect connector 1 and cable 3 from solenoid 2 on the starter.

5.  Turn off two bolts holding a starter.

For vehicles with gearbox type 002.

Note:

In some cases, in order to be able to unscrew the mounting bolts, it is necessary to raise the car, or we do it in a pit. From below, unscrew the nut by 12 mm, which presses a few chips and unscrew the bolt that presses the starter to the engine.

6. To install the starter, reverse the steps.
