Eliminating the creaking of the center console Hyundai ix35

Tools:

Note:

This article describes how to disassemble the center console on the Hyundai ix35 and fix the center console squeak.

1. Open the armrest and with a sharp object (preferably with mounting blades so as not to scratch the plastic) pry off the center console latches. Pull it up gently.

2. Move the automatic transmission lever to the neutral position and pull out the gear lever handle.

3. Raise the handbrake up, pull the center console up, removing it from the rest of the latches.

4.  Disconnect three blocks of wires and remove the console.

5. Glue the fabric tape around the perimeter.

You can also wrap electrical tape around the lock of the armrest.

6. Install the center console on the Hyundai ix35 in the reverse order of removal.
