Replacing the low beam lamp Nissan X-Trail (after 2011 release)

Note:

Nissan X-Trail cars can be equipped with 2 types of headlights  :

  • halogen;
  • xenon (for installation of gas-discharge headlights).

The Nissan X-Trail xenon headlight has a special gas discharge bulb  D2S 35W.

The manufacturer prohibits independently changing the design of the headlights and installing lamps of a different power or with a different base.

Replace light bulbs  in pairs - different light bulbs may illuminate the road differently. The lamps in the left block headlight and the right one are replaced in the same way.

1.  Place the car on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.

2.  Open the hood and place it on the stop.

3.  With a  10 mm  wrench, disconnect the wire from the "negative" terminal of the battery.

4.  For a more convenient replacement of the Nissan X-Trail low beam lamp on the left side, pry off the clamps of the 3 air duct holders with a flat screwdriver.

5.  Remove the plug with two holders, and pull out the 3rd retainer.

6.  Disengage the lower air duct outlet from the lower air receiver duct and the rear outlet from the air filter housing.

7. Turn the Nissan X-Trail low beam lamp cover counterclockwise.

8. Remove the cover.

9. Turn the Nissan X-Trail low beam headlight counterclockwise.

10. Pull the bulb out of the headlight housing.

11. Press a clamp and disconnect a block of wires from a passing beam lamp.

12. Replace the Nissan X-Trail low beam lamp with a working one.

13. Install a new light bulb in place in the reverse order of removal.

14. Replace the air duct.
