Note:
This article describes how to replace the rear suspension spring on the Hyundai ix35.
It is more convenient to replace the rear springs on a lift (the wheel does not need to be removed).
1. Engage 1st gear (transfer the automatic transmission selector to the “P” position) and install the chocks “boots” under the front wheels.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts, jack up the rear of the vehicle, place the vehicle on jack stands, and remove the wheel.
WARNING:
Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.
3. Turn off the top bolts of the shock-absorber.
4. Using a 17 wrench, unscrew the lower mount of the front stability stabilizer strut, keeping your finger from turning with the 17 wrench, and move the strut to the side.
5. Turn off the bottom bolt of the cross-section lever of a back suspension bracket.
6. Jack up the lever, and carefully knock out the bolt with a hammer.
Note:
Recall that the pulled out bolts have nothing to do with the collapse and convergence.
7. After removing the bolt, gently and carefully lower the jack, while the lever also begins to move. In this simple way, we dismantle the spring.
