Removing the washer reservoir, washer pump and washer fluid level sensor Hyundai Solaris

Note:

We remove the pump and reservoir of the washer of the windshield and rear windows in case of their replacement in case of failure. The tank is fixed under the right front fender and is closed by the right fender liner.

To remove the washer reservoir and washer pump, do the following:

1.  Brake the car with a parking brake and install wheel chocks (“boots”) under the rear wheels.

2.  Loosen the wheel nuts, raise the front part of the car, place it on reliable supports, unscrew the wheel nuts and remove the wheel.

WARNING:

Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.

3.  Remove the right front fender liner as described here .

4.  Disconnect the wire terminal from the "negative" terminal of the battery.

5.  Pressing the lock of the wire block, disconnect it from the connector of the washer fluid level sensor.

6.  Disconnect the windshield washer hose from the pump fitting (the washer pump of a car with a hatchback body has two fittings).

7.  Pressing the lock of the wire block, disconnect it from the pump connector.

8.  Turn out the screw  And  and bolts  B  of fastening of a washer reservoir.

9.  Disengage the washer reservoir upper mounting bracket from the screw and remove the reservoir.

Note:

If there is washer fluid in the reservoir, drain it through the filler neck.​

10.  Pry off the windshield washer pump housing with a screwdriver.

11.  Overcoming the resistance of the sealing ring, remove the pump housing from the ring. We take out the rubber sealing ring from the reservoir hole.

Warning:

Replace a torn or loose ring with a new one.

12. Install the washer pump in reverse order.

To remove the washer fluid level sensor, do the following:

1.  Using a flat screwdriver, press the lock that secures the sensor connector to the bracket and remove it from the bracket.

2.  Using a slotted screwdriver, move the edge of the rubber sealing ring and, overcoming the resistance of the sealing ring, remove the sensor housing with the rubber sealing ring.

Warning:

Replace a torn or loose ring with a new one.

3.  We assemble the assembly and install it on the car in reverse order. After assembly, fill the reservoir with washer fluid, as described here .
