To open the trunk lid from the driver's seat, pull up on the release lever.

Note:

The luggage security system allows you to prevent unauthorized access (using the auxiliary key) to the trunk by folding the rear seat or using the unlock lever.

To protect things left in the trunk from criminal encroachments, follow these instructions:

1. Open the trunk lid and pull down the safety lock levers. This will lock the rear seat backs.

2. After that, try to fold them to make sure they are really locked. Otherwise, strangers can get into the trunk by folding the rear seats.

3. Close the trunk lid. Insert the master key and turn it counterclockwise to disengage the trunk lid release lever.

4. Pull the release lever up to make sure it is locked.
