- Bolt M6, 10 mm long
Note: despite the fact that the general principles of the operation of the cooling system are similar for most cars, it is recommended that before starting the process of replacing the coolant, familiarize yourself with the features of the car in the manufacturer's instructions.
The role of coolant in the operation of a vehicle is known to every car owner. Given this importance, it is necessary to diagnose and maintain the temperature control system in a timely manner. Check the condition of the coolant in a timely manner. However, the main problem when replacing antifreeze on a Fiat Doblo car is that we do not have a standard drain hole for this fluid. It can be drained from several places - the lower radiator pipe, the other part is drained through the heat exchanger pipe on the oil filter, and a little more antifreeze is drained from the air vent on the pipe going into the cabin to the stove. Approximately 10 liters of coolant are required for proper and sufficient engine cooling.
It is recommended to change antifreeze after a run of 60,000 km.
Description:
1. We begin to remove the indicated pipes and drain the liquid into any container.
Note: when you unscrew the plastic plug, it should be replaced with a 10 mm long M6 bolt, since the factory part will poison after removal.
2. Drain the antifreeze until it stops draining from all the indicated places.
Note: The amount of antifreeze in a car with a petrol modification is 6.5 liters, but you cannot drain everything at once. The maximum that you can do is drain 3.2 liters, about half.
3. After that, you need to put all the nozzles in place and pour distilled water into the system to the full level. Then you need to turn on the engine so that it runs until it is fully heated and the thermostat is turned on to run the liquid through the radiator.
4. Allow the machine to cool down, as draining and refilling cold liquid can be fraught. After cooling, we perform the operation of draining the already diluted liquid.
Note: depending on the age of the machine, you may need a different number of washes. Fill with water and drain antifreeze until you get clean water with a slight coloration.
5. After the last flush, we collect the nozzles in place and fill in concentrated antifreeze. Then we turn on the engine, drive the liquid, let the engine cool down and then check the freezing temperature with a hydrometer.
Note: When checking, you should get -40 degrees. In the case of a lower mark, you need to drain a little more liquid (depending on your result) and pour in concentrated antifreeze.
6. We check again and look at the result.
