Opening the hood in Toyota Camry

To open the hood:

Pull the hood release lever. The hood should open slightly with a springy upward movement;
From the front of the vehicle, pull up the latch assist lever and raise the hood.

Before closing the engine hood, make sure you do not leave any tools, rags, etc. inside. Then lower the hood and make sure it is firmly in place. If necessary, apply gentle pressure on the front edge to secure the hood .
